What To Do About Your Brain-injured Child: December 2025

Our Parents Have their Say

Was it worth the time, effort, and cost?

“Yes, it has been worth it. I am deeply grateful to all the people who deliver this course with such professionalism. It is clear how much experience you have when speaking about these topics. I believe you have so much to offer the world, and I know that your passion for what you do is genuine and contagious. Thank you for your hard work helping children with brain injuries. May God always bless you.”

Mother, Leon, Mexico

“Yes, definitely! If we had to do it over again,

we would have taken the course sooner. We liked everything. Especially Glenn Doman.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We love how upbeat all of you are!!!

Grandmother, Iowa

“Yes, absolutely. I feel full of hope. Thank you very much to everyone for sharing so much knowledge with us and for trusting us as parents.”

Mother, Chile

“Yes, yes and yes. The flexibility to learn from home while still receiving high-quality, structured instruction was invaluable. The online format made it possible to fully participate without the logistical challenges of travel, while still maintaining a serious academic experience.

I am grateful for the clarity, integrity, and depth of this program. The course has provided a strong foundation of understanding and renewed hope grounded in science and thoughtful observation. I appreciate the commitment The Institutes demonstrate to educating parents thoroughly and respectfully.

Father, Colorado

“Yes, if it improves life for our daughter which we have every reason to think it will, it is absolutely worth it.

Thank you for all your dedication, time and commitment over the last 70 years and 7 days! We do feel truly grateful to have found this course and are excited and hopeful (& a bit daunted!) to start a program with our daughter that we do believe could change the whole course of her life. We feel frustrated that our doctors here in the UK are so close minded on these matters and offer what we now realize is actively unhelpful or harmful advice. By contrast, the Institutes huge respect for and acknowledgement of mothers, the family and the value and worth of each child combined with a deep and profound knowledge which leads to a commitment to change lives of the most vulnerable in society is truly admirable and very touching. And it is unlike anything we have experienced here in the UK.”

Mother, United Kingdom

“Yes, it was worth it. I was impressed with how thoughtful everybody was about taking care of our granddaughter, and for saying over and over to make her learning fun.”

Grandfather, Iowa

“Without question. The Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential is inspirational, and the team are hugely impressive. Thank you thank you thank you for your passion. For respecting mothers and fighting for brain injured children. You will always have allies and advocates from this family in London. If I had an unlimited cheque book I would try to set up a campus in the UK! Bravo and may God bless you.”

Father, United Kingdom

“This course was most definitely worth the time, effort and money. We are getting everything we need for our injured boy here with The Institutes. Everything was explained and all the questions were answered very well. I liked everything.   I personally cannot think of anything else this course might need.”

Father, California

Yes, thank you!”

Sister, Ohio

“Yes!! We really enjoyed the course!”

Mother, California

What is the most important
thing you have learned from this course?

“The most important thing I learned is that a brain-injured child’s potential is far greater than I previously understood, and that meaningful neurological improvement is possible when development is approached systematically, consistently, and based on neurodevelopmental principles rather than assumptions or limitations. The course helped me clearly understand how the brain grows and reorganizes through appropriate stimulation and structure.”

Father, Colorado

“Brain injury doesn’t correlate with intelligence but is strongly correlated with the ability to express intelligence.”

Father, United Kingdom

“That brain injury is treatable. The results of countless successful cases can be observed, where the treatment channels are sensory and motor, and through the key procedure of Frequency, Intensity, and Duration in stimulation, the desired results are achieved.”

Father, Mexico

“The most important thing I learned from the course was that I have great hope of seeing my daughter develop the potential she has despite her brain injury, and that this injury will be addressed through patterning, stimulation, etc. And this would be thanks to God and to the work of Glenn Doman, Janet Doman, and the staff of The Institutes, for their many years of experience with all those children they have worked with at The Institutes, improving the quality of life of both the children and their parents.
Today, with what I have learned, I can say that there is a way forward for every person with a brain injury.”

Father, Morelos, Mexico

“This course was very revealing for me as the mother of a child with a mild brain injury. I am very grateful to have found you, because honestly, I no longer knew what else to do for my son, who is not learning anything at school. I have great hope that the program will help him reach the level expected of an 11-year-old child.

As a family, we have decided that our son will not attend the first year of middle school, as we will focus on applying the program. I mainly learned where my son’s injury is located and how to understand it better. I also learned about the developmental profile, which has become a very interesting tool for evaluating our children.”

Mother, Leon, Mexico

“That the brain injury my daughter has can be modified very favorably, or I even dare say completely, since the brain grows with use. If we carry out all the programs we were taught with the proper frequency, intensity, and duration, we will achieve it by creating a healthy environment, and she will be able to continue developing successfully.
TAKING THIS COURSE IT HAS BEEN THE BEST DECISION WE HAVE MADE IN OUR LIVES SINCE ALE WAS BORN. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!”

Mother, Morelos, Mexico

“That the only option I have to bring out my son’s maximum potential is this one.
I have stimulated him since he was very young, but that did not correct his brain injury.
I understood that meaningless and chaotic stimulation does not work.
Perhaps the most important thing I learned is that motor pathways are output pathways and sensory pathways are input pathways; that is why conventional therapies do not work when they try to place information in the opposite direction.”

Mother, Chile

“That the brain can repair itself, adapt, and rewire. That there is something we can do that truly gives my children back their options in life. That unlearning and learning are part of growing and evolving. Thank you for making the effort to provide us with this information and these tools.”

Mother, Ecuador

“We now realize that we have hope for our granddaughter and that we have a whole team of people who are here to help us who genuinely love her like we do. The team wants our granddaughter to succeed as much as we do. We cannot wait to get started.”

Grandmother, Iowa

“That the brain grows by use, and that with appropriate frequency, duration and intensity, it’s stimulation via the sensory pathways can produce significant output via the motor pathways.”

Mother, United Kingdom

“Consistency with the home program is very important.”

Sister, Ohio

How will this change what you do for your child in the future?

“By giving me certainty and a solution to such a traditionally delicate condition as brain injury.”

Father, Mexico

This course has fundamentally changed how I approach my child’s development. I will be more intentional, data-driven, and consistent in addressing neurological needs rather than focusing solely on surface-level symptoms. I now feel better equipped to prioritize developmental sequencing, intensity, and repetition, and to advocate more effectively for my child using a clear neurological framework. I would like to continue working through the Institutes programs to get my child as much help as possible.

Father, Colorado

“We will design a program that appropriately stimulates my daughter’s various brain pathways such that she can develop to her full potential.”

Father, United Kingdom

“I believe my daughter will have a life in which she will be independent in carrying out any task, whether at home or outside the home.
Above all, she will be able to express herself verbally about any situation that happens to her.”

Father, Morelos, Mexico

“I can accompany and guide him so that he can overcome his current deficiencies and challenges. That in the future we can look back together and realize that we are capable of achieving a great deal together, and that he has never been alone.”

Mother, Ecuador

“It will completely change our family dynamics. It will make us a more empathetic family toward our hurt son’s situation and will require all of us to work as a team so that he can improve. This will also make my other children better human beings, because they will be involved as well.

It will completely change the way we eat, focusing on doing it correctly, with truly nutritious and healthy foods. Ultimately, this will be time for our hurt son—time for him to improve and time for him to grow.”

 Mother, Leon, Mexico

“I believe it will completely change her entire life, and we will see her fulfilled.”

Mother, Morelos, Mexico

“To apply all the knowledge in the most organized way possible. “

Father, Guatemala

“Having all this information so clearly will help me never give up.
And I have the best child to carry out this program; he fully trusts me because he saw his younger brother learn to read with the reading program.”

Mother, Chile

“In the past year right after our son’s accident, my husband and I use to split roles. We each took care of what we were best at to care for our son. For this specific program, I think it will be vital for us both, including the rest of our children to go all hands-on deck. After all, what’s a few intense years or so if it will help our son become the best he can be. Bonus, if the rest of our children get any benefit out of our dedication.”

Mother, California

Was the course what you were expecting?

“Yes, this course was exactly what I was expecting, a guide for our family to get our boy healed.”

Father, California

“Yes, it was very interesting. All the information I learned was exactly what I needed to hear.”

Mother, Leon, Mexico

“It definitely exceeded my expectations.”

Mother, Morelos, Mexico

“Yes, it exceeded my expectations—everything was very clear and explained in a simple way.”

Mother, Chile

“That and more. I found a lot of logic in everything that was taught, and it connected with information I had absorbed from other sources, which is how I came to find you and the work you do.”

Mother, Ecuador

“Yes, and more. We were exhausted by the end of last week… but felt very knowledgeable!”

Grandmother, Iowa

Yes, in some ways – but I am happy to say it exceeded my expectations! I was worried that as I had read some of the books that it would be a mere repeat and I wouldn’t learn anything new, but it has been so helpful to understand more fully the why and hear some of the amazing examples and stories.”

Mother, United Kingdom

“Yes, And so much more.”

Grandfather, Iowa

What would be your advice to a parent considering taking this course?

“To pay close attention, because everything is incredible.

To have faith, love, and a strong desire to work with their child, believing in everything The Institutes teach, because it is true.”

Father, Morelos, Mexico

I believe that regardless of its reputation, if one does not experience it, we will not truly know what we are talking about.”

Father, Mexico

“Take it seriously. Find the rides, get the babysitters. You want to dedicate the time and energy into learning the things you need to help your brain injured child. He or she deserves it. The best that can happen is you’ve found a program that will change your brain injured child’s life for the better.”

Mother, California

“Take the course. Do everything you possibly can for your child.

Treat the course as a serious educational commitment rather than passive learning. Minimize distractions, take notes, and revisit key sections as needed. Most importantly, approach the material with an open mind and patience true understanding develops as the concepts begin to connect.

Committing fully required intentional planning and prioritization, but once established, the structure of the course made sustained engagement achievable.”

Father, Colorado

“Do not delay, decide NOW!!! or as soon as possible, because time is gold for our children. It will completely change their lives and the lives of their children.”

Mother, Morelos, Mexico

“That anything we do for our children who need help is worth it. Parents may feel there is nothing left to do, that nothing will change no matter what they try, or that doctors’ diagnoses are hopeless. Then this ray of hope appears, it will be worth it if your goal is a happy and healthy child.”

Mother, Leon, Mexico

“To make the effort to learn about a solution to the problem of brain injury.”

Father, Guatemala

“To mentally prepare to hear something completely different from what is already known. To sleep very well in the days before and during the course in order to process so much information.”

Mother, Chile

“To all parents who are thinking about taking it: do it NOW! Do not waste any more time, and let’s give our children opportunities. There will always be time or financial difficulties. Do not give up on finding the time to come here and receive all this information.”

Mother, Ecuador

“Be adequately prepared – being in a different time zone is tough, so having adequate help with childcare and a lighter week with other responsibilities is really helpful. But its content is life changing and so it is worth really considering and making the effort to make it work!”

Mother, United Kingdom

“Take it right away, your son or daughter will thank you.”

Grandfather, Iowa

“Do it, don’t wait!!!!”

 Grandmother, Iowa

 “Do it!”

 Sister, Ohio

What was the best thing about the course?

“It provided newfound hope.”

Father, Colorado

“That they did not limit themselves to explaining only the how, but also the why. The stories and experiences from so many decades give great weight to the information they share. The “why” is necessary in order not to give up after a few weeks. Everyone was very kind and approachable, even though it was through a screen. Their conviction in what they do inspires great respect, admiration, and a strong desire in me to succeed in the program with my son.”

Mother, Chile

“Meeting Glenn Doman in special legacy classes, what a hero & inspiration. He and Janet are master communicators, it’s all inspirational.”

Father, United Kingdom

“That it is possible for all of us to learn and to do it. You provide information and tools that can be adapted to your home and routines, making it possible to carry it out.”

Mother, Ecuador

“I really liked it when they explained the programs and how to carry them out.”

Mother, Leon, Mexico

“Everything was excellent—thank you very much!”

Father, Morelos, Mexico

“The knowledge gained and the awareness with which the procedure is approached.”

Father, Mexico

“Everything, because they were very specific in every topic that was presented to us; even things we least expected were explained to us.”

Mother, Morelos, Mexico

“The transmission of practical knowledge that we did not know existed.”

Father, Guatemala

“I liked being able to build my son’s program as we went through the class, immediately after the class. I liked having material and lecture notes I could look back at to build the appropriate program for him.”

Mother, California

“Understanding and working on the Development Profile really felt like something clicked and we started to feel excited about the possibilities for our daughter. So, developing an understanding of those things felt like a game changer and was crucial to the rest of the course. It was also lovely to have lectures from Glenn Doman himself!”

Mother, United Kingdom

“We have a new commitment to help our granddaughter to get better.”

Grandfather, Iowa

“I could feel how much all of you cared about our granddaughter, like she was the only child you were working with.”

Grandmother, Iowa

“The best thing about this course is that my wife and I took it together. We both see how much we should be doing for our family when it comes to activity and nutrition.”

Father, California

“Learning so many new things to benefit my sister.”

 Sister, Ohio
