The younger a child is, the easier it is for the child to learn. Parents who understand early development are the very best teachers for their own children. The parent and child together are the most dynamic teaching and learning team. The family is the cradle for intellectual, physical, and social excellence in the child.
The objective of The Institutes is to inspire a love of learning and to make children intellectually, physically, and socially excellent.
First Rule: Get started – the sooner, the better your child will never be any younger than he is right now. Where and how you start depends on the age of your child and your family. Ideally parents begin by attending our How To Multiply Your Baby’s Intelligence Course. For parents who cannot, we recommend a careful review of the programs below. Begin with the program that you cannot resist and get it going smoothly before adding a second program. One of these programs done consistently and happily will result in a great start for you and your child. Don’t bite off more than you can chew, no matter how tempting that might be. Do one thing right, and the rest will come naturally.
Whether you are a fulltime professional mother or father, or a parent dividing your time between your children and other work, it is very likely that your child’s development and happiness are your top priorities. Babies are only babies for a very short time. This time is vital to the baby’s future.
Children grow up very fast. No parent wants to wake up and find their child is a ten-year-old who they barely know. Our early development program puts parents and kids together, where they learn from each other. This creates a life-long relationship of love and respect. This is our most important goal.
The Newborn Program
The first months of life are vital to the well-being of the baby. Although learning continues throughout life, there is a special window of opportunity for brain growth and learning that occurs in the first twelve months of life. We now know that intellectual development starts at birth. This means that effective sensory stimulation is essential for the baby. We also know that mobility development starts in utero and must be permitted to continue from the instant of birth onward. Anything that physically stops or restricts the baby for any significant time decreases the precious opportunity to move. Appropriate intellectual stimulation and mobility opportunity are the basis for language and manual development.
All babies have a right to move and explore. Babies are born moving, but too often the modern baby is bundled up, put upside down on his back, put in a baby seat or a backpack, and has no opportunity to crawl. This teaches the baby that movement is impossible. Our parents learn how to start right at birth to create a great mobility environment so that the baby is crawling in no time , then creeping, and cruising the household to explore and discover.
Parents learn how to evaluate their baby through The Institutes Developmental Profile. This gives each parent a clear picture of where the baby’s development is on track and where it needs more stimulation and opportunity. This program gives a detailed map of the first twelve months and carefully guides mother and father through each stage. Parents quickly see that development should not occur by accident but rather on purpose with a clear plan that works.
For over a half-century, mothers and fathers have been teaching their babies to read. We believe that being able to read is the baby’s birthright. This single ability has a powerful effect on everything a child will do in life.
Reading early not only begins a life-long love of reading but it also promotes brain growth and development. A child who goes to school already reading well and loving books will be “school-proof.” When parents really understand how the brain grows and why it grows the way it does, they can use their love and understanding of their own tiny child to create a unique and highly effective reading program. Sometimes this may be a program that takes only a few minutes a day or it may become the springboard for a much broader early development program that evolves into homeschooling in the future.

The Math Program
Little children love to learn mathematics because it is a language and little children are linguistic geniuses.
We discovered that babies could easily differentiate quantity without using numeric symbols. This discovery led to our math program. This program shows clearly how easy it is to teach a little child the reality of quantity and the simple truth behind the symbols we use in mathematics.
Even in homes where neither mother nor father have any particular fondness or skill in mathematics, babies can learn and enjoy math, if it is presented logically and in a joyous and happy way. The math program provides parents with a simple and clear daily outline for introducing the language of math to babies and very young children while simultaneously enriching their mutual love and respect.
As in the case with reading, mathematics is not an academic body of knowledge but rather another language with which to think and reason. Movement is essential to life in all living creatures.
The development of mobility in the newborn baby is a vital part of the baby’s future ability to learn and grow to his full potential. Parents may be wasting their children’s most important years by preventing them from physically exploring their world and maximizing their mobility development when they are young.
Our physical program shows clearly each stage of mobility on The Institutes Developmental Profile and how to create an environment that will help the child to achieve each stage more easily. The physical program is a carefully planned pathway that shows parents how to encourage the baby to crawl, creep, walk and run.

Once parents have attended The To Multiply Your Child’s Intelligence course, they are eligible to become a member of The Off Campus Early Development Program. This program provides inspiration to get started and maintain a relaxed and effective program at home. It offers contact with the staff to ask questions, materials to use at home and on-going education via lectures online.
The Off Campus Program provides community with other parents around the world who have attended the course and are also doing a program at home.
