Cuando el cerebro est\u00e1 lesionado, puede haber docenas de s\u00edntomas de esa lesi\u00f3n. Esto tiene sentido porque el cerebro controla todo. A muchos ni\u00f1os con lesi\u00f3n cerebral se les da un diagn\u00f3stico basado en estos s\u00edntomas aterradores o extra\u00f1os en lugar de un diagn\u00f3stico basado en una evaluaci\u00f3n cuidadosa del cerebro. Un diagn\u00f3stico sintom\u00e1tico puede llevar al intento de tratar el s\u00edntoma sin prestar atenci\u00f3n al problema subyacente que reside en el cerebro mismo.<\/span><\/p>

Cuando el cerebro est\u00e1 lesionado, el ni\u00f1o tendr\u00e1 un problema con las v\u00edas sensoriales de entrada o las v\u00edas motoras de salida, o ambas. Cuando un ni\u00f1o no puede ver, o\u00edr o sentir correctamente, no puede responder adecuadamente al mundo que lo rodea. Esto puede ser un problema grave, como en el caso del ni\u00f1o que es funcionalmente ciego, sordo, insensible al tacto, paralizado y sin habla.<\/span><\/p>

Ya sea que un ni\u00f1o sea ciego, sordo y paralizado o hiperactivo con problemas de atenci\u00f3n, inter\u00e9s y concentraci\u00f3n, la soluci\u00f3n es tratar el cerebro, no los s\u00edntomas.
